Native to Tucson, I have worked in this community in several capacities.  I have had many twists and turns throughout my life and career.  Originally I had planned and was on my way to earning my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, but ended up earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in marketing.  My first career adventure was in the hospitality industry working my way up to Director of Human Resources.  My second career adventure was in the medical industry, marketing.  Lastly, I wound up working in the education industry working with students from K - college in various administrative and recruitment positions.  Working with at risk students for the past 8 years has driven me to continue my work in a capacity that promotes total wellness and equity for all students, and Higher Ground has given me the opportunity to continue working to better the community I grew up in.
