Oversight and Direction
Our Board of Directors are responsible for the general oversight and direction of Higher Ground, as well as ensuring that the organization grows responsibly and sustainably, so that we can fully support the community long into the future.
Senator David Bradley, President
Dave has been an Arizona resident for over 50 years. After earning his degrees while serving in the Navy, he returned to Tucson where he currently lives with his wife and daughter. Dave served in the state legislature from 2003 to 2011 and is now serving his first term in the state senate. Having worked in child welfare and mental health services for over 30 years as a counselor, he is an ideal president for the board.
Barry Richardson, Secretary
Barry, whose sons both attend Higher Ground, has 20 years of leadership experience, with expertise in project/program management, operations, logistics, engineering, and production. He enjoys the challenge of taking a project through full cycle development, from new business opportunities, through design and integration, to implementation.
Ken Heeter, treasurer
Ken joined the HG board in April 2016. He was a Certified Public Account for 40 years whose experience includes public accounting, real estate development, and 22 years in wealth management services. He co-founded Cornerstone Advisors Inc in Washington in 1983 and served as COO until his retirement in 2005.
David Reilly, Board Member
David has been involved with Higher Ground since Jansen first connected with him at the gym. David offered to train students in jujutsu for free at his facility and has since worked directly with the fundraising components of our center. He is the owner of Undisputed, one of Arizona’s largest mixed martial arts facilities.
Alicia White, Board Member
Alicia is a certified public accountant with over seven years of public accounting experience. She is currently a Manager at Keegan, Linscott & Kenon, PC. Prior to entering the field of accounting, Alicia worked in sales for a professional services company for over 3 years.
